In June 1998, SmithKline Beecham (GSK) provided the EPDA with funds to develop a 'Patient Analysis and Tracking system' (Drug Profiling), which the EPDA Medical Advisory Board approved. After two false starts, the project was renamed PD Life and commenced, as a six month UK pilot.
