Frequently asked question (FAQ)

How can I find a consultant specialising in Parkinson’s?

As Parkinson’s is a neurological condition (a condition affecting the body’s nervous system), the most appropriate specialist is usually a neurologist. However, not all neurologists specialise in Parkinson’s and it is important that you see one who does. As Parkinson’s is a condition mainly affecting older people, many geriatricians (doctors specialising in the medical care of older people) are also very knowledgeable about it.
