Frequently asked question (FAQ)

One of the most frustrating aspects of my Parkinson’s is the way it interferes with so many everyday tasks, from doing up buttons to getting out of chairs and turning over in bed. What help can I get with these problems?

Certainly the problems you describe are amongst the most frustrating and difficult aspects of Parkinson’s. Although the medication usually helps considerably, it does not always provide the complete solution, and then help from both physiotherapists and occupational therapists can be very useful. Sometimes it is a case of finding a new way of tackling problems and sometimes a question of identifying the right type of equipment.
