Teeth and Oral Health

What is oral health?

Dental and oral care is important for everyone’s general good health and for self-esteem. For all of us a good oral hygiene routine, together with a well-balanced diet and regular visits to the dentist, is essential in maintaining healthy teeth and gums. Most dental problems result from neglecting oral hygiene or poor nutrition and diet. Keeping our mouths healthy is essential for tasting, chewing, swallowing and speaking. A healthy mouth helps you look and feel well.

Did you know?

Gum disease, rather than tooth decay, is the largest single cause of tooth loss. Dental plaque is the main cause of gum disease.
