Guidelines for Reflections Articles
‘Reflections’ is a collection of stories, personal accounts and poems contributed by people whose lives are, or have been, touched by Parkinson's. The aim is to share with other visitors, experiences and works that people with Parkinson's can relate to and draw inspiration from as well as create awareness of Parkinson's.
We value all contributions to ‘Reflections’. However, we reserve the right not to publish articles if, in the EPDA's opinion, they:
- do not relate to Parkinson's disease
- do not provide our visitors with a positive and uplifting experience which they can relate to
- are not impartial towards treatment options
- are considered to be inappropriate for Rewrite Tomorrow and may cause offence or distress to any section of the public
- are contrary to the aims of the EPDA.
The editorial board’s decision is final. We reserve the right to edit an author’s work but will always endeavour to keep as close to the original as possible.
Submission criteria:
-
Articles are generally no more than 1,750 words excluding pictures
-
Where possible, 2 or 3 related photos or pictures should also be submitted (see Image Guidelines below).
- Must be directly and strongly related to Parkinson’s
- Articles may not present a medication, course of treatment or product that may be interpreted as promotional or libellous
